			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oops.  Didn&#8217;t post yesterday.  Probably because I was feeling so crappy.</p>
<p>Yesterday was my &#8220;bad&#8221; day.  REALLY bad cravings.  Crabby.  Headache.  Bad attitude.  Whew!</p>
<p>Today has been better.</p>
<p>I used some beef I &#8220;overcooked&#8221; in the crock-pot (not really&#8230;.it&#8217;s just falling apart) and made some chili with zucchini and carrot coins.  The beef was cooked with mushrooms so there&#8217;s some poking their little heads out of the mess occasionally.  All in all&#8230;pretty tasty.</p>
<p>But I&#8217;m running out of storage containers.  I hate to go buy more.  Inveriably, we&#8217;ll end up with a cabinet full again sometime soon before I do another major cooking session.  Oh, well&#8230;</p>
<p>My singer goes back to school tomorrow.  Break was too short!!  I&#8217;ll miss her being around all day but I still get to enjoy &#8220;Awkward!&#8221; some more.  She&#8217;s got an online math class in the morning that I get to look forward to waking her up for.  Yea me&#8230;</p>

<p>On the Whole30/Paleo adventure:  Today is the first day of my new way of taking care of myself.  Wow!  What a caffeine withdrawal headache.  &lt;sigh&gt;  I finally broke down and drank a cup of black coffee (no dairy or sweeteners for 30 days!) to help.  Much better.  Nasty coffee.  &lt;ha ha ha&gt;  I&#8217;m going to pick up a can of coconut milk and try that in my coffee in the morning.</p>
<p>Otherwise, I haven&#8217;t really felt too much different other than a &#8220;carb-hangover&#8221; from eating some grains and such the past couple of days.  But I&#8217;m glad to get those out of my system as I haven&#8217;t felt the need to take a nap today.  I might give myself 20 minutes though since it&#8217;s Sunday.  You know&#8230;a Sunday thing to do.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s To-Do&#8217;s:  Finish installing the toilet in the guest bath (I finished installing the new oak baseboard earlier).  Plan meals for this week.  I guess that means I should actually shop for ingredients for said meals.  &lt;sigh&gt;  Maybe I can procrastinate that into tomorrow.</p>
<p>My hopes for 2012 are positive and hopeful.  Yea.  Positive Lisa.  Much better than 2011.</p>

<p>It would be much easier for you to browse this webpage than listen to me stumble through the motivation to eat quality meats, vegetables, and some fruits.  And that&#8217;s it.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been eating this way for about 1 1/2 months.  I feel SO much better.  Don&#8217;t NEED a nap each day.  Lots more energy and interest in living life.  More creativity.</p>
<p>Oh&#8230;and did I mention I&#8217;ve released about 17 lbs of body weight I REALLY didn&#8217;t need?  Good stuff!!<br />
So&#8230;I&#8217;ll be using this as my journal about my adventures this next month.  A new way of looking at food.  Energy.  Tasty.  Not when I&#8217;m bored/sick/scared/angry/etc.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to the wild ride.  And I&#8217;ll learn to cook better as well as more efficiently.  Whoo Hoo!!</p>
